Motorcycle Ride for Rover
On Sunday, 4/19, Julie and Jeff went on a fund raising ride with the local motorcycle group. The charity for the ride was Benton-Franklin Humane Society. Jeff said he put the high pegs down on his motorcycle. The high pegs are the foot rests for Nicole sized legs. Jeff said, he wanted to ride with the high pegs, because Nicole loved all animals. In Jeff email, he had titled the photos "riding for Rover" and there were over 500 motorcycles in attendance.

Ramblings
This morning, I did go out early and take tulip photos. They will be posted, next.
Yesterday, Gary and I drove both our cars to the Edison station. Then, I took our fire engine for a pump test. So, I had my car for errands. I did buy some plants and seeds for the yard. That will be for Earth Day, this year.
My energy level had increased, so in the "get-er-done" mode.

Earth Day
Yesterday was Earth Day, and I didn't post. I will come up with a good Earth Day post, just a little late.
We had a power outage, this evening 5:30 to 7:30. The news said 96000 without power. It covered most of Skagit county, onto Whidbey Island and the San Juan islands. There was a car vs power pole accident, near Sedro Woolley. We were very lucky to get power back, quickly.
The tulips are showing a good deal of color. No photos, yet.

Dog Camp
Bayview Beach, April 2008
-
Gary has been out of town for a ham radio convention. He left on Thursday and will be back, tomorrow. Meggen went to dog camp, as I had a busy schedule, with work, meetings, class and some social time, too. I picked her up, yesterday. I think she had a good time at camp, she is napping. I think she is wondering where's Gary. Meggen and I plan a quiet day at home.

A Dog Story
Maggie with a short haircut.
She was the neighbor's dog, but liked to stay at our house.
We tried to encourage her to go home, but she would always come back.
She liked to sleep in the front garden area.
Maggie was a shy, timid girl.
We let her sleep in the garage for 4th of July.
She didn't like all the firework noise.
When, it was cold, we would do laundry, as she slept near the dryer vent.
Our joke with Maggie is that she would put quarters (for the dryer) on door sill.
After, Lady passed, Maggie moved inside to a pampered life for her last 2 years.
-
-
One time, when Nicole was here, Maggie put her paw on Nicole's leg, while being petted.
-
-
So, after Maggie passed, we got Meggen, that was October 2007.
-
That was quite a change, a young energetic dog, after two dogs in their senior years.
