We continue to have sunshine and frost. It is beautiful. Last night, Meggen and I went for a walk, the flashlight shines on sparkly frost.

Back to Work

The last day, I worked at the office was 12/9 (due to a dentist being on vacation). I am back to work, tomorrow (Solstice) for 3 days, then off until 1/4. I have not worked much, this month. I seem to have completed some stuff at home, but that list goes on and on. Happy Solstice, tomorrow.

Friday

My current reading is "Stones into Schools" by Greg Mortenson. His first book, "Three Cups of Tea" is inspiring. He continues on his humanitarian effect to help build schools and promote education especially for girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The book, I had recently finished "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery. Interesting.
I have rearranged my computer desk and have completed 99% of the organizing on the new computer. Gary and I were crawling around under the desk, fishing out old cords, stringing new cords. Photos, printer remaining on the list. OK, maybe 95% complete.
I have enjoyed my week off, I work 3 days next week, then off until the new year.

Colors

Stitch Test for my new sweater
Toe-up socks for a friend, who is retiring

Sock using a stitch pattern called Chouwa, harmony in Japanese

Start of a sock pattern called Samurai

-
The curious thing is all these yarns are red based or at least includes some red.
For at least 20 years, purple has been my favorite color.
Am I switching to red from my loved purple?
Does that mean anything?
-
Today was sock Sunday.
It was a great but small group, as folks get busy this time of the year.

Knitting Time

I had a lot of knitting time, today, as Gary had a couple stents placed. He is doing well and will come home, tomorrow.
