90 days, 45 posts

Rounding the first 90 days of years with post number 45, right on track for the average of a post every other day. I have been working 4 day work week the last 4 weeks, ready for my usual 3 day work week. Meggen and I were just for her evening stroll and the frogs were singing. Delightful.

Knitting Energy

This afternoon was Sock Sunday. I go to WildFibers, sock knitters come in with questions or just to knit. About 8 people were at sock Sunday, today. There is a special kind of energy in a room full of knitters. We all want to learn, see others projects, compare yarns. It is wonderful.

Morning Walk

I think I am feeling chatty, today. This morning, Meggen and I went for a walk. It was a nice sunny morning with lots of birds flying about and singing.

New Sock Yarn

Volunteers

I am part of a volunteer fire department. There was a big house fire on Thursday evening, which 4 departments were called. They worked like a team for hours, as volunteers. Thank you to all volunteers of all types. It is a great service.

Class

Yesterday, I went to an all day technical knitting class. It was excellent. We had homework, knit 5 different samples for class. Then at class, on 2 of the samples we knit shoulder shaping and a shoulder seam. The shaping was a Japanese short row technique and looks great in the finished result. Note to myself (test this short row for socks) We knit button holes. We graphed on stitched for a button band. Talk about over loading the brain in a good way, I have a packet of notes, a bibliography. I would take another class from Susanna in a second.
