Reading

I am reading a book called "Breakfast with Buddha". Like it, so far.
I was wondering, if Nicole would have been into the vampire books/movies based in Forks, WA.

Black Friday

We had a very quiet, lovely Thanksgiving Day at home. We decided not to travel due to road conditions, so we relaxed at home. Meggen and I went for a couple walks in the snow. I knitted.
We just relaxed, like a quiet Sunday.
We are not shoppers, so didn't go for the crazy Black Friday shopping deals. Looks like another quiet day at home. The snow has melted over night. Meggen and I have gone for a walk.

Wind Storm

We had quite a wind storm, last night. The power went out, shortly after 10:00 pm. Today, was a work day, the hot water heater had enough warm water for a shower for me, this morning. Gary and Meggen went out for coffee and lunch. After work, I called home (thank goodness for cell phones), still no power. So, we meet for dinner in Edison, which was yummy.
We can home to a warm house with power.

Stand By

With a Fire Extinguisher, if you put candles on my birthday cake. holy cow 58 of them.
Worked, today. Had lovely rich chocolate cake and brownies at the office.
My dear husband took me to dinner, at our favorite, the Longhorn Saloon, in Edison. I had 2 lemon drops (holy cow) and a blue cheese burger, my new favorite burger. Might be a tough choice between a garlic burger or a blue cheese burger. Lucky for me, I get a late start for work tomorrow.

Halloween

We did have 2 trick or treaters, last night. A newer family in the neighborhood choose a few houses to visit with their daughters. Their Dad had cleaned up some downed trees in our backyard for firework, last summer. The girls had masks with lots of glitter, very cute. We had some Halloween crayons and stickers to give them.
I did some ham radio Halloween calling on Sunday, with my call sign of WL7BOO and talked to about 75 people. It was kind of crazy, all those folks wanting to talk to "boo". I did talk to a special event station in Frankenstein, Missouri, too.
