Closing of 2010

The year, 2010 has only a few more hours. I am ready for a new year, a new perspective. I have had the last week of the year off work, and had planned to complete 2 knitting projects. Well, those 2 projects are still on the needles, but are closer to completion.
What will 2011 bring? I did spend over 6 hours with Mike at Bandanna's Skin Art in 2010, wonder if I will get that "itch", again. Tattoos just seem pop into my head, and roll around for a while, then I go see Mike.
I don't see any major life changes in 2011, same house, same job. Teach some sock knitting classes, take some knitting classes. Sock Summit in Portland in July, looking forward to the adventure, again.
My husband will become a senior citizen is July, that sounds a bit odd. What the heck, we take a discount or two.

Afternoon Project

My car headlight has been cracked for a year or so. Then the bulb burned out, about 10 days ago. So, I ordered the replacement headlight assembly. My project for this afternoon was to put it in my car. Of course, I don't have that type of manual and usually don't read that type of directions, anyway. I kind of look at the diagrams and the pictures. So, today, I come to the computer and find a u-tube video for my car and watch it, twice. Gary is in town on a errand run. So, I do get the light installed. I will say, it took a while, and my hands go dirty. I wish I had a longer wrench for the hard to reach bolt in the tight space. And the light does work.

Ofiice Dinner

Last evening, my office went to dinner for the holidays. We had a very nice dinner in LaConner, our steak was so tender and yummy.

My office is closed next week and I am ready for a little time for rest and relaxation.

All of the staff donated money to the local humane society as a gift to our dentists. They were both happy with the group's choice. Nicole would have voted for the humane society as her choice, too. It is nice to share in whatever way.

Meggen had her yearly vet check up, this morning and is fine, just a little anxious especially about her nail clipping. Of course, she got treats, toys and a truck ride.

Sunshine

The last 2 days have been sunny, with a few clouds. The moon is getting close to full.
Meggen and I dropped by the local Humane Society with a donation, today. At first, Meggen was a little curious to check the place out, but when I came back out with scents from inside, her memory of living in there had perked up and she was ready to head back home.

December

I was very busy posting in November. I have slowed way down, here in December. It is dark, and boy, has it been rainy, the last couple days. We have ponds in the backyard. There are mini waterfalls over the rocks walls.

Sunshine

Beautiful, sunny day, today. I could see Mount Rainer on the drive to sock class, today. The lawn was frosty, this morning.
The Apple Cup football game is today, east side of the state against the west side of the state. I wanted to bet with my husband. He wouldn't bet, I think he has lost too many times. I hope the cougars win.
